Event Manager Internship – Rocky Top Catering at UNC Chapel Hill

Rocky Top Catering is looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our team as Event Manager Interns! Get ready to dive into the action at some of UNC Chapel Hill’s most exciting events, including football and basketball games, while building hands-on event management skills.
Position Overview
As an Event Manager Intern, you’ll be the right hand to our Operations Manager, overseeing every detail of event execution to ensure we deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests. From coordinating setup and managing teams, to interacting with clients and vendors, you’ll gain real-world experience in event planning and management. If you’re a natural leader with a flair for customer service, this role is for you!
Event Manager Role and Responsibilities you will learn
An event manager acts on behalf of the Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of an event. The event manager works behind the scenes, running and supervising to ensure that the event is executed to the highest standards.
Complete post event reporting follow up including employee clock in/out times and final event report
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Should be good at public relations
Good communication skills
Possession of technical knowledge
Good people management/supervisory skills
Ability to make a sound decision fast
Ability to work in a team environment
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work in a high paced, high pressure environment
Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation
Ability to perform any associated job related tasks
